Hello and welcome to 'WE Matter', our roundup of things happening across our services and other useful information for people who use our services. We hope that it will help you feel connected to the Wirral Evolutions community.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak the majority of our services are currently closed. There is emergency provision in place for a number of people we support and we are keeping in touch with anyone who normally attends our service via our outreach programme.
We will continue to keep people we support, parents and carers updated as we make moves to reopen our services.

People with a Learning Disability are now in priority group 6 for the COVID-19 Vaccine.
You will need to be on the Learning Disability Register to be offered the vaccine. If you are not sure, contact your GP for more information.
The poster below from Photosymbols explains the process in Easy Read format. And this video from The North West Training and Development Team Board shares the experiences of people with a Learning Disability and the vaccine.
The information below is for anyone who is a carer in Wirral from WIRED Wirral.
The Government has announced that the next stage of the COVID-19 lockdown roadmap will go ahead as planned on 12th April.
The changes to take place at this stage (step 2) are summarised in the infographic below and full details can be found on the Government Website.

This recent case study shows how staff supported BL and their family through the COVID vaccination process.
Our next Speak Up Be Heard meeting is scheduled for Wed 5th May.
SUBH is a pioneering group for people we support with advocacy support from Together All Are Able. They are currently meeting virtually via Zoom due to current COVID-19 restrictions.

Although the Covid-19 vaccine is currently being rolled out across the UK, we still need to wear a mask/face covering in certain situations to keep safe.
We have updated our Easy Read guidance to help people navigate the government guidance around wearing of a mask/face covering.

Bluebelles Tea Room in Wallasey which is run by our 'Best Bites' service is pleased to announce that as of 7th April, they are reopening a TAKE OUT service, Mon-Fri 10am-2pm.
We will continue to keep people we support, parents and carers updated as we make moves to reopen our services.
