#OneLifeLetsLiveIt
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak the majority of our services are currently closed. There is emergency provision in place for a number of people we support and we are keeping in touch with anyone who normally attends our service.
Updates can be found on our website and via our twitter and Facebook accounts
Our Corporate Services office in Wallasey is currently closed but we have two temporary numbers you can contact while the office is closed:
We are pleased to announce that our website has had a bit of a makeover and is now easier to navigate. We are still working on some updates so that you can access even more resources and information.
We are also working on our own staff portal so that our workforce can access information more easily.
Another new addition to our online community is our new Youtube channel. We have been sharing playlists to help you have your own at home disco with song choices from the people we support and we will be adding videos from our centres.
Wirral Council is responding to the coronavirus outbreak by focusing resources and staff on the most critical services relied upon by residents.
A central helpline has been set up to help Wirral Residents and updates can be found via their website.

Wellbeing
It is important that we take care of our mental and physical wellbeing. This is is especially important during this difficult and unusual time.
We have put together a summary of some useful ways that you can look after your wellbeing while social distancing:
We have put together a summary of some useful ways that you can look after your wellbeing while social distancing:
- Drink Water - Drinking water has a number of health benefits. This includes benefits to mood and help manage anxiety.
- Eat Regular Healthy Meals - Eating regular balanced meals help you keep a healthy body and mind. Research suggests that diet is key factor for our mental health.
- Get Plenty of Sleep - Poor sleep can have a negative impact on our physical and mental health and is linked to problems such as a weakened immune system and some mental health problems. Every Mind Matters have some great advice for how to get a good night's sleep.
- Keep Active - It is important to keep our bodies active as it benefits both our physical and mental health. Even whilst social distancing, there are ways we can get moving at home.
- Stay Connected With Family and Friends - Not being with loved ones can be difficult for us all but there are still ways we can stay connected. We are fortunate to have technology that allows us to video conference with family and friends (such as Facetime, Skype and Zoom).
- Keep up Hobbies or Learn a New Skill - Hobbies are a great way to relax and to keep our minds occupied. It's a great time to find a new hobby or skill.
Facebook Communities
We have created a community Facebook group for people we support, families and staff to keep in touch and share resources. There have been some wonderful updates from the Wirral Evolutions family.
You can join us here
Staff members can also join our staff group for work related updates (please speak to your manager for full details of how to join).
Wirral Evolutions Bake Off
The people we support and our staff took part in an online 'Bake Off' competition over the Easter Bank Holiday.
We really enjoyed seeing the creativity off the entries and the only down side is that we didn't get to sample them all!
The winner was announced yesterday after a close competition. Well done to Lisa King!
The prize will be announced shortly, as will the runners up, so keep your eyes peeled on our Facebook Page.
A massive thank you to all who took part, each and every entry was fantastic and everyone should be really proud of themselves.
